Jacob Bloom, M.D.

Dr. Jacob Bloom founded Bloom Plastic Surgery after practicing for several years in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Dr. Bloom is excited to now offer his services to the greater Chicago area. Raised in Northbrook and a graduate of Glenbrook North High School, Dr. Bloom takes great pride in treating patients in his hometown. After receiving his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Dr. Jacob Bloom graduated at the top of his class from the Chicago Medical School. He earned a coveted Plastic Surgery Residency at the esteemed University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. Following his residency,Dr. Bloom continued his surgical training in Harvard Medical system at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Bloom has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles that have been published in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS), the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and the Journal of Hand Surgery (JHS). In addition, he has presented his work at several international meetings and twice won research awards during his residency. During his training, Dr. Bloom was honored with elections to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AOA) and the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society.
